Cobblemon: Legends Untold – Legendary Pokémon, Structures & Items Datapack

DATAPACK

Adds 9 legendary/mythical Pokémon, 5 structures, and 7 items to Cobblemon with unique encounter mechanics.

The Cobblemon: Legends Untold datapack solves a common gap in Cobblemon gameplay: the lack of structured, lore-friendly ways to encounter legendary and mythical Pokémon. Instead of relying on random spawns or external plugins, this pack introduces specific structures that serve as the homes for eight Legendary and one Mythical Pokémon, each with its own trigger item and capture rules. It is designed for Cobblemon players who have exhausted early-game content and want a clear, repeatable path to endgame bosses. Server administrators should note that the pack has not been tested on multiplayer; single-player worlds are the intended environment.

The pack adds the following Pokémon and their encounter methods: Rayquaza appears at the Sky Pillar structure (found in mountain biomes) when a player brings a Jade Orb to its top; only one chance per player per world. Mewtwo can be created using Mew DNA (found in legendary structures) combined with a nether star or comet shard at a Resurrection Machine. Mew is obtained via a separate process described in the full documentation. Other legendary Pokémon—each with their own unique structure and item—are included, though their specific spawn conditions vary. A full list of all 9 Pokémon and their trigger items is provided in the pack’s official documentation.

  • 8 Legendary & 1 Mythical Pokémon (Rayquaza, Mewtwo, Mew, and six others)
  • 5 new structures (including Sky Pillar, laboratory, and others) generated across appropriate biomes
  • 7 new items (Jade Orb, Jade Map, Mew DNA, comet shard, etc.) to initiate encounters
  • Jade Maps that guide players directly to Sky Pillar for Rayquaza
  • Limited capture opportunities—each player gets exactly one encounter per Legendary

Requirements and limitations: This datapack requires the Cobblemon mod. For the datapack-only version, place the file in both your resource pack folder and datapack folder. When updating your world, you may need to relocate some structures using tools like structure block or locate commands. The pack depends on TSFlareon's Item Core for custom item functionality—ensure that mod is also installed if you are using the datapack version. Server use is not recommended unless you are prepared to test and troubleshoot. Some encounter conditions require specific items (e.g., Jade Orb) that are found rarely in loot, so exploration is a key part of the experience.
