Infinite Cushions: Dye Cushions in Any Colour

DATAPACK

Dye white cushions using crafting recipes that support any colour combination, just like leather armour.

Minecraft's standard cushions are locked to a handful of preset colours, which limits creative interior design. The Infinite Cushions data pack solves that by extending the leather armour dyeing system to cushions. Now you can mix dyes in a crafting table to produce any custom colour, giving you full control over the palette of your builds.

To dye a cushion, place a white cushion in a crafting grid along with one or more dyes of your choice. The recipe accepts up to eight dyes at once, and the resulting colour blends all pigments exactly as it does for leather armour. This means you can create subtle pastels, deep saturated tones, or exact brand colours without needing to rely on the default wool shades.

If you later change your mind, you can strip the colour by right-clicking the dyed cushion on a water cauldron. The water consumption is identical to washing dyed leather items—one use per cushion—and the clean white cushion drops back into your inventory. This makes experimenting with shades risk‑free and reversible.

  • Full RGB colour mixing using standard Minecraft dyes in a crafting grid.
  • Identical to leather armour dyeing – same recipe logic, same blending behaviour.
  • Cauldron cleaning restores the original white cushion with a single right‑click.
  • Dual distribution format – works as a data pack + resource pack combo or as a Fabric mod.
  • Early development transparency – the pack is actively tested on snapshot 26.3; minor bugs may occur.

This project targets the Minecraft 26.3 snapshot exclusively. You must install it as both a data pack and a resource pack, or alternatively use the provided Fabric mod version. Because it is still in early development, occasional visual or crafting glitches are possible. Future updates will follow the snapshot cycle.
