GrabAndGo - Carry Mobs and Blocks
MODPick up and transport mobs and blocks with a realistic first-person carrying animation. Simple, lightweight, and functional.
Moving mobs or shifting blocks in Minecraft often involves tedious luring, pushing, or inventory shuffling. GrabAndGo gives you a direct method: hold a block or entity in your hands. You can carry a villager to a new home, relocate a sheep, or transport a chest without breaking it. This mod is built for survival builders, redstone engineers, and anyone who wants a more natural way to move objects around their world.
The carrying mechanic uses your character's empty hand. To pick something up, crouch (hold Sneak) while targeting a block or living entity, then click. The item or mob lifts into view, shown in first-person with your arms holding it. You can walk, jump, and even climb ladders while carrying. To release, crouch and right-click again or swap to another item in your hotbar. This works on most solid blocks and all standard mobs, including passive and hostile types.
- Direct lifting of blocks and mobs by targeting and clicking while sneaking
- First-person hand animation shows what you are holding
- No additional key binds required – uses vanilla Sneak + click
- Lightweight client-side mod with no dependencies
- Works on multiplayer servers if installed on the client
Requirements: The mod requires Minecraft version 1.20.1 or 1.21. Forge or Fabric (check mod description for exact version). Your hand must be empty to initiate a carry. Some blocks with special interactions (e.g., furnaces with contents) may not be liftable – only empty containers are supported. Hostile mobs remain hostile while carried; they will attack after being set down unless neutralized. No server-side installation is needed for basic functionality, but some features may require the mod on the server for full compatibility.
