Quark: A Collection of Small Minecraft Improvements
MODA fully modular mod that adds over a hundred small, configurable features to enhance vanilla Minecraft gameplay.
Quark is a large mod built from many small, individual features, each designed to refine and extend the vanilla Minecraft experience without overwhelming the core game. Named after the subatomic particle, it focuses on sensible additions that fill gaps in the base game, such as missing wood variants, better redstone mechanics, and quality-of-life tools. Every feature can be toggled on or off independently from an in-game configuration button added to the title screen, giving you full control over which changes you want to keep.
This mod is ideal for players who enjoy vanilla Minecraft but wish for small improvements that feel natural—like keeping animals fed automatically, building with vertical slabs, or pushing tile entities with pistons. It solves common frustrations such as the lack of full wood-type sets for chests, bookshelves, and ladders, or the inability to auto-breed animals without constant manual feeding. With over a hundred modules, Quark can be as minimal or as extensive as you like.
- Feeding Trough – Automatically feeds nearby animals for breeding, saving time in ranching operations.
- Pistons Push Tile Entities – Allows pistons to move chests, furnaces, and other tile entities, matching Bedrock Edition behavior.
- Variant Wood Blocks – Adds bookshelves, chests, ladders, and more for all wood types, ensuring consistent building palettes.
- Vertical Slabs – Extended slab orientation for every slab in the game, enabling new architectural designs.
- Japanese & Industrial Building Blocks – New decorative blocks inspired by real-world styles, expanding creative possibilities.
Quark requires Zeta (for Minecraft 1.20.1 and newer) or AutoRegLib (for versions 1.19.2 and earlier). It is fully client- and server-side compatible, though some features are designed for single-player or must be enabled on both sides. The mod is lightweight and performance-friendly, with no new dimensions or major worldgen alterations unless explicitly enabled. All features are safe to toggle mid-game, and the configuration can be adjusted through the in-game menu or config files.
