Simply Traps adds exactly seven new trap blocks to your Minecraft world, designed to fit smoothly into the vanilla experience. Unlike bulky tech mods, this pack stays true to the original game's style: no GUIs, no power grids, and no complex recipes. Whether you need to secure a survival base, craft a devious puzzle for your adventure map, or add surprise hazards to a minigame arena, these traps deliver reliable results with zero performance lag.

Every trap has a clear purpose. Stakes can be placed on the floor or mounted on walls to punish players and mobs that rush through carelessly. Spike traps activate when stepped on, grass traps blend into grassy terrain to catch the unwary, slime traps slow anyone who touches them, and both straight barbed wire and circular barbed wire variants deal damage while restricting movement. Because the mod was originally built for personal use, it’s stable and feature-complete right now—you will not see frequent updates or experimental features, and that’s the point. The focus is on providing a small, trustworthy toolset that works out of the box.

Simply Traps requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Fabric Loader, and Fabric API. Make sure your loader and API versions match the mod’s game version; no other dependencies are needed. The mod does not require any configuration file tweaks and will work right after you drop it into your mods folder.
