String Dupers Return restores that exact mechanic for server communities still running updated versions—allowing you to keep legacy designs alive or build new ones without worrying about string scarcity.

Unlike the patched vanilla glitch, the plugin version gives you full control over the duplication output. You can set the minimum and maximum amount of string dropped when a piece of string is duped, with a default range of 1–3. This makes it easy to balance the economy of your server while preserving the familiar setup: an observer‑powered dispenser shearing a tripwire.

If you need a 1:1 replica of the original behaviour—including the requirement that the duper be directional and must be sheared with a specific orientation—a separate Fabric mod is also available. However, for Bukkit‑based networks, this plugin is the straightforward, drop‑in solution that works server‑side, requiring absolutely no client modifications.
