Glow Ores - Vanilla Emissive
RESOURCEPACKMakes all 18 ore types glow in the dark using vanilla emissive block models. No mods, shaders, or OptiFine required. Server-safe.
Ores glow in the dark. The ore part of each block — the ore chunks and their outline — emits light at full brightness, so you can spot and mine ores even in pitch-black caves. The surrounding stone, deepslate, and netherrack stay normally lit. This pack solves the common problem of missing valuable ores in dark caverns or large underground spaces where torches don't reach every corner.
The glow uses Minecraft's native emissive block models, available in version 1.21.2 and later. It works on pure vanilla Minecraft and is compatible with Sodium. There are no mods, no shaders, and no OptiFine required. This is not an X-ray pack — it does not let you see through blocks, only makes existing ores easier to see. It is safe to use on servers.
- Covers all 18 ore types: coal, iron, copper, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond, and emerald — each in overworld and deepslate form — plus nether gold and nether quartz
- 16x resolution, vanilla-like appearance that fits seamlessly with default textures
- No performance impact; works with any render engine that supports emissive block models
- Easy installation: download the zip, place it in your resourcepacks folder, and enable it in Settings → Resource Packs
- Compatible with multiplayer servers because it only changes visuals, not game mechanics
Requirements: Minecraft Java Edition 26.1.2 (resource pack format 84). This pack does not work on older versions. It does not require OptiFine, shaders, or mods. For best results, use with default lighting or any resource pack that does not alter ore textures.
