Purpura Skies: Xaero's Minimap Frame – A Cozy GUI Replacement
RESOURCEPACKA hand-crafted frame for Xaero's Minimap, designed to complement cozy and fantasy-themed resource packs.
The default minimap frame in Xaero's Minimap is functional but often feels out of place in resource packs built around softer, warm, or fantasy aesthetics. Purpura Skies: Xaero's Minimap Frame addresses this by replacing the standard border with a hand-drawn, pixel-art frame that uses gentle purple and sky-blue tones. It was originally created for the upcoming Shielded modpack, but it works equally well in any environment that values visual harmony over utilitarian design.
This pack is intended for players who run modded Minecraft with Xaero's Minimap and want the GUI to feel more cohesive with a cozy, cottagecore, or fantasy-themed resource pack. It is not a full GUI overhaul — it only swaps the minimap frame, leaving other interface elements unchanged. The 16x resolution keeps it lightweight and compatible with most low- and mid-end systems. Note that the mod itself is required; this resource pack adds no new functionality, only a visual replacement.
- Hand-painted pixel art frame in purple and sky-blue hues
- Designed to match the aesthetic of the Shielded pack and similar cozy builds
- Simple drag-and-drop installation — no configuration needed
- 16x resolution for minimal performance impact
- Works with both Fabric and Forge versions of Xaero's Minimap
Requirements: You must have Xaero's Minimap (or Xaero's World Map) installed for the frame to appear. Place the resource pack in your .minecraft/resourcepacks folder and enable it in the game's Resource Packs menu. No other mods or dependencies are needed.
