Adistira shader – Hand-written photorealistic pack with PBR & custom skies
SHADERA hand-written photorealistic shader with PBR lighting, volumetric clouds, soft shadows, and custom dimension atmospheres for Minecraft.
Adistira shader is built entirely from scratch to replace Minecraft’s flat default lighting with a physically based approach. It solves the problem of lifeless scenes by introducing PBR shading, soft shadows, and ambient occlusion, so surfaces respond to light and shadow in a natural, grounded way. This pack is aimed at players who want a cinematic, realistic look for their worlds—screenarchers, builders showcasing detailed resource packs, and anyone with a GPU that can handle heavy shader work. It is not designed for low-end systems or integrated graphics.
Each dimension receives a fully custom atmosphere. The Overworld features a realistic sky with volumetric clouds, the End gets a cosmic treatment with distinct space-like tones, and the Nether shifts to a fantasy-lit environment. The goal is to make every realm feel visually distinct, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all sky.
- PBR lighting with soft shadows, ambient occlusion, and normal mapping (requires a labPBR resource pack for full effect)
- Volumetric clouds, atmospheric scattering, and custom skies for Overworld, Nether, and End
- Realistic water with screen-space reflections, wave animation, and refraction
- TAA and FXAA anti-aliasing, plus ACES tonemapping for a natural, cinematic color grade
- Emissive blocks, parallax, and colored light support to enhance detailed builds
Requirements: Iris is the tested and recommended shader loader; OptiFine may run the pack but is not officially supported. A labPBR resource pack is optional but needed to unlock normal maps and parallax. A dedicated GPU (NVIDIA GTX 1060 / AMD RX 580 or better) is advised—this shader is not suitable for integrated graphics.
