EzExposure – Exposure Slider Shader

SHADER

An ultra-lightweight Iris shader that adds a simple exposure slider to brighten or darken Minecraft without altering lighting or performance.

EzExposure is a focused, ultra-lightweight shader pack for Iris Shaders that gives you direct control over Minecraft's exposure level through a single slider. It solves the common problem of game scenes feeling too dark or too washed out without touching lighting, shadows, or any post-processing effects. By adjusting only the exposure multiplier, the shader lets you fine-tune overall brightness while completely preserving the vanilla look and feel.

This shader is built for players who want a brighter or darker visual experience but don't want the performance cost or visual overhaul that comes with traditional shader packs. It's especially suited for "potato" PCs, low-end laptops, and anyone who values a pure vanilla art style. Whether you need extra visibility during nighttime exploration or prefer a slightly dimmed atmosphere, the exposure slider provides instant, measurable adjustments with zero framerate loss.

The shader supports a wide range of exposure values, from 0.0 (pitch black) to 100.0 (maximum brightness). A value of 1.0 matches the default Minecraft exposure, while 2.0 doubles it. All intermediate values—from 0.05 to 3.0—are available, giving you precise control over the final image brightness.

  • A single adjustable exposure slider
  • Extremely lightweight; no measurable performance impact
  • Does not modify lighting, shadows, reflections, or other visual effects
  • Fully compatible with Iris Shaders
  • Simple installation: drop into the shaderpacks folder and activate

Requirements: Iris Shaders for Minecraft 1.17 or newer. OptiFine is not supported. This shader exclusively adjusts exposure; it does not add any other graphical enhancements.
