NaturalVision Shaders – Human Vision Simulation for Minecraft
SHADERNaturalVision Shaders simulates human sight with pupil adaptation, true-to-life twilight, and smooth performance on low-end hardware.
Most shaders treat the screen like a camera lens—adding bloom, saturation, and sharpness without asking how your eyes would actually see the scene. NaturalVision Shaders changes that. It is built for players who want the world to feel alive through their own perceived vision, not a cinematic filter. This pack is particularly useful if you find standard shaders visually tiring during long mining sessions, or if you need a realistic yet lightweight look that runs on potato setups without sacrificing the feeling of presence.
From the moment you load a world, NaturalVision reacts like an organic pair of eyes. Pupils widen in dark caves, then contract when you step back into sunlight. Twilight isn’t just a colour gradient; it moves through a measured blue hour before the stars appear. At night, colour sensitivity fades toward monochrome, just as your real eyes lose hue perception in low light. Sunlight bounces off grass and stone, filling shadows with subtle environmental colour rather than plain black. Everything is generative, so you keep your own resource pack and still get consistent tonemapping and light response.
- Physiological pupil adaptation – exposure dynamically shifts when entering caves, buildings, or open sky, with natural lag imitating eye dilation.
- Astronomically informed sky – twilight progresses through authentic blue hour colours, and darkness adjusts with latitude and season.
- Low‑light colour desaturation – scotopic vision simulation reduces hue intensity at night and in dark interiors.
- Indirect light bounce – single‑bounce diffuse lighting fills shadows with the colour of nearby surfaces, adding depth without ray‑traced hardware.
- Resource‑pack agnostic pipeline – all effects are procedural, so the pack works instantly with any textures and requires only Iris.
Requirements: NaturalVision Shaders runs on Minecraft Java Edition with Iris Shaders (1.7 or newer). No additional resource packs or mods are needed. This alpha version is in active development; some features are still being tuned, and occasional visual inconsistencies may appear. The pack is designed to maintain playable framerates on integrated graphics and older GPUs, though exact performance depends on your settings and resolution.
