Principal - Dynamic Atmospheric Minecraft Shader

SHADER

Dynamic atmospheric Minecraft shader with cinematic skies, volumetric clouds, detailed lighting, and reactive weather.

La Flòr Principal is a handcrafted Minecraft shaderpack built around one goal: making every hour of the in-game day feel alive. Instead of simply adding bloom, this shader layers a full atmospheric pipeline — from physical sky scattering at dawn to torch-lit caves with warm amber glow — so that the world looks different, feels different, and plays differently depending on when and where you are.

This shader is ideal for players who value environmental storytelling and visual fidelity. Builders will appreciate the natural lighting that highlights block textures, while survival players benefit from the reactive weather system that affects visibility and mood. It is not a lightweight option; it is designed for those who want a cinematic experience and are willing to adjust settings for performance.

  • Rayleigh-style sky scattering that shifts gradients based on sun angle, creating distinct golden hour transitions at dawn and dusk.
  • Volumetric cloud layers with real-time lighting that respond to weather conditions such as rain and thunderstorms.
  • Physically based rendering (PBR) support for connected textures and emissive blocks, giving metals, glass, and water a realistic appearance.
  • Dynamic torch lighting with warm amber tones that realistically spill across cave walls and surfaces.
  • Reactive weather system that integrates cloud cover, fog density, and precipitation intensity to match the current biome and time.

Requires OptiFine or Iris Shaders for Minecraft. A mid-range to high-end GPU (such as GTX 1060 or better) is recommended for stable framerates, especially when volumetric clouds are enabled. Lower-end hardware can adjust quality settings in the shader options, but some features will be limited. Tested on Minecraft 1.20 and 1.21.
