SomeRandomPhotoShaders - Simple visual enhancements for Minecraft End and more

SHADER

A simple Iris shaderpack adding shadows, reflections, better lighting, and a custom End sky for enhanced visuals.

SomeRandomPhotoShaders is a lightweight shaderpack designed for players who want to improve the visual quality of Minecraft without overwhelming performance demands. It focuses on adding realistic shadows, block reflections, and improved lighting to both the Overworld and the End. The custom sky for the End replaces the default void with a more atmospheric backdrop, making exploration of outer islands feel more distinct.

This pack solves the problem of flat, lifeless lighting in the End dimension, where shadows and reflections are absent in vanilla Minecraft. Players who frequently build or explore in the End will notice a significant improvement in atmosphere. It is also suitable for casual players using Iris Shader Loader who want a quick visual upgrade without complex configuration.

  • Dynamic shadows from sunlight and torches for increased depth.
  • Block reflections on water and other surfaces using a simple reflection pass.
  • Enhanced lighting with bloom effect on light sources like torches and glowstone.
  • Custom sky texture for the End dimension, replacing the default void.
  • Optimized for Iris Shader Loader, balancing visual quality with performance.

Requirements: Minecraft Java Edition with Iris Shader Loader installed. The pack works with OptiFine or Iris, but Iris is recommended for full features. No additional mods are needed. Performance depends on your system; lower-end PCs may need to reduce render distance or disable certain effects. The pack does not include PBR textures or path tracing – it is a simple shader, not a high-end simulation.
